Digital Integrity & Cybersecurity Committee

This committee defines trustworthy baselines for automotive software, cybersecurity and data protection—covering OTA, secure development, vulnerability handling, and privacy-by-design across connected vehicles and infrastructure.

It brings together security architects, pen-test laboratories, software leads and data-protection officers to transform best practices into auditable requirements and repeatable assessments. It also aligns with other committees to ensure safety and digital integrity reinforce each other.

Outputs include the Digital Systems Integrity Standard, threat bulletins, test profiles, and implementation notes for OEMs, Tier suppliers and service providers.

What This Committee Does

It governs cybersecurity frameworks, OTA integrity, secure SDLC requirements, penetration testing, incident response and privacy controls suitable for certification and surveillance.

Mandate & Scope

Define security controls, validation profiles, threat modeling guidance, and privacy requirements that can be verified by labs and auditors.

Structure & Governance

Roles for editors, red teams and incident-response reviewers; task forces handle new vectors and coordinate advisories and updates.

Workstreams

Secure SDLC, OTA & update governance, pen testing & tooling, privacy controls, vuln disclosure & incident response, logging & monitoring.

Coordination

Liaises with Safety on functional safety cross-impacts; with Regulatory & Policy on legislative trends; with Market Surveillance for threat intelligence.

How the Committee Operates

Rigorous drafting and review, adversarial testing input, and time-bound bulletins; versioning and deprecation rules ensure clarity for implementers and auditors.
