Environmental and NVH approvals address exterior noise, vibration, harshness, durability under climatic stress, and material performance. Programs demonstrate that vehicles and components meet prescribed noise limits and withstand real-world environments over their service life.

Evidence can include exterior pass-by noise, stationary noise, durability cycles (thermal/humidity), corrosion, UV exposure, fluid/chemical resistance, and material aging. For EVs, AVAS (Acoustic Vehicle Alerting System) performance and tonal characteristics may be required.
