Lighting & Signaling

Lighting and signaling approvals verify photometric performance, color, intensity, EMC/electrical safety, and installation geometry for headlamps, DRLs, indicators, brake lamps, rear lamps, and reflectors. Evidence must link devices, mounting positions, and aiming provisions to regulatory requirements.

Programs include device-level testing (photometry, colorimetry, environmental stress) and vehicle-level installation (visibility angles, spacing, height, symmetry, tell-tales). LED and matrix systems require thermal management, EMC, software control verification, and fail-safe behavior.
