Recognition Workflow
Step 1 — Pre-Application Dossier
Complete the online dossier with scope, standards sought (e.g. IEB-02, IVS-01), organisational chart, impartiality statement and recent audit reports.
Step 2 — Document Review
IAF reviewers screen quality manuals, method validation records and proficiency-test results. Clarifications may be requested within 15 days.
Step 3 — On-Site Assessment
A two-person assessor team conducts facility tours, witness testing and staff interviews to verify competence and impartiality.
Step 4 — Corrective Actions & Peer Review
Non-conformities are addressed by the applicant; an independent peer panel confirms closure and recommends accreditation.
