Recognizing transformative solutions bridging vehicles, infrastructure, and digital services for seamless mobility.
The Future Mobility Award highlights integrated systems—from connected vehicles and V2X to multimodal platforms— that enable safer, cleaner, and more efficient movement of people and goods.
Eligible entries include smart-city pilots, MaaS platforms, data governance frameworks, and cross-sector partnerships delivering measurable impact.
Selection Criteria
- FM-01 Mobility and access benefit | 25%: Measured improvement to movement, access, affordability or user outcomes.
- FM-02 Interoperability and integration | 20%: Effective integration across vehicles, infrastructure, services, data and institutions.
- FM-03 Safety, security and trustworthy operation | 25%: Verified controls for safe, secure, private and reliable operation.
- FM-04 Deployment viability and resilience | 15%: Credible operational model, continuity and performance under realistic conditions.
- FM-05 System sustainability and inclusion | 15%: Environmental and social value without shifting unacceptable burdens.

V2X & Corridor Pilots
Smart intersections, priority lanes, and safety messaging for mixed traffic environments.
MaaS & Multimodal Platforms
Seamless trip planning, payments, and integrated ops for public and private mobility.
Evaluation & Documentation
- KPIs: Travel-time reliability, ridership uplift, safety incidents, emissions change.
- Evidence Pack: Architecture diagrams, data-sharing agreements, performance dashboards.
- Governance: Public–private roles, SLAs, and data stewardship policies.
Eligibility & Result Period
Eligible scope: Connected and integrated mobility, MaaS, infrastructure, public-private platforms, freight and passenger services, and smart-city deployments.
Admission requirement: A representative operational pilot or deployed service evaluated with actual users or a safe surrogate is required. A concept film or forecast is insufficient.
Result period: At least three months of operation in the preceding 24 months, including peak, off-peak and degraded conditions where relevant.
Timeline
Opening, closing, evidence cutoff, review, appeal and announcement dates are stated only in the approved Season Notice.
Jury & Process
Three jurors complete preliminary scoring and five complete fresh final scoring. Category tie priorities are FM-01, then FM-03. No chair vote is used; an unresolved tie may result in no single winner.
