Jury & Process

Independent evaluation with documented safeguards. This page explains how juries are structured, how conflicts are managed, and how decisions are reached across award categories.

Jury Structure & Composition

Each award category is evaluated by an independent panel with discipline-specific expertise. Panels are designed to be balanced across regions and stakeholder types.

Category Panels
Dedicated juries evaluate submissions within their category (e.g., innovation, sustainability, supply chain), applying the published rubric and evidence requirements.
Awards Secretariat
A non-scoring function responsible for eligibility checks, completeness screening, coordination, documentation and process integrity.
Steering Oversight (Where Applicable)
Final consistency review and approvals may be handled through an oversight panel, ensuring that the process remains fair, documented and consistent.
Expert Balance
Panels may include members from industry, academia, testing, engineering leadership, sustainability and relevant public-interest domains.
Juror names, panel roles and key expertise areas will be published here once the Jury Directory goes live.

Impartiality & Safeguards

Conflict-of-Interest (COI) Disclosure
Jurors are expected to disclose relevant professional relationships and recuse themselves from reviewing entries where impartiality could be compromised.
Independent, Evidence-Based Scoring
Scoring is aligned to published criteria and is supported by submitted evidence rather than promotional claims.
Confidentiality
Submitted materials are treated confidentially and used solely for evaluation purposes. Sensitive data should be shared only where necessary to support claims.
Consistency & Documentation
Decisions are based on documented scoring logic and review steps to ensure consistency, accountability and process integrity.
Transparency note: IAF will publish the evaluation framework and programme process details, and juror profiles will be made available in an upcoming Jury Directory section once released.

Review Workflow

Screening

Eligibility and completeness checks by the Secretariat to confirm category fit and minimum requirements.

2
Jury Evaluation

4
Final Confirmation

Final review for consistency and documentation before winners are confirmed, notified and published.

For scoring details, see the Evaluation Framework.

Jury Directory

The Jury Directory lists jurors, their expertise areas and panel roles. This supports transparency while preserving the integrity of the evaluation process.
