The Supplier Excellence Award recognizes Tier-1/Tier-2 partners that consistently deliver superior performance, co-innovate with OEMs, and advance responsible sourcing and manufacturing practices.
SMEs with disruptive technologies and robust operations are especially encouraged to apply.
Selection Criteria
- SE-01 Quality and delivery performance | 30%: Verified conformance, reliability and delivery performance for automotive customers.
- SE-02 Value and co-development | 20%: Demonstrated customer value, engineering contribution and effective collaboration.
- SE-03 Resilience and change management | 20%: Continuity, capacity, risk and controlled change across the supply relationship.
- SE-04 Responsible sourcing and workforce | 20%: Traceable sourcing, fair work, competence and responsible operations.
- SE-05 Transparency and shared improvement | 10%: Open performance reporting and sustained improvement with customers and sub-suppliers.
Examples of Eligible Achievements
Advanced Modules
High-reliability ECUs, sensors, battery modules, or smart materials with verified field performance.
Operational Excellence
Lean manufacturing, digital twins, predictive maintenance, and value-stream optimization.
Evaluation & Documentation
- KPIs: PPM, OTD, cost savings, CO₂e/unit, audit scores.
- Evidence Pack: Control plans, FMEAs, certificates, performance scorecards, and customer references.
- Risk Management: Business continuity, dual-sourcing, and supply risk dashboards.
Eligibility & Result Period
Eligible scope: Automotive suppliers of any tier or size, including specialist and technology providers; direct OEM access is not a condition.
Admission requirement: At least one verifiable automotive customer delivery or programme and 12 consecutive months of performance are required.
Result period: Use the latest complete 12-month period ending no more than six months before the entry deadline.
Timeline
Opening, closing, evidence cutoff, review, appeal and announcement dates are stated only in the approved Season Notice.
Jury & Process
Three jurors complete preliminary scoring and five complete fresh final scoring. Category tie priorities are SE-01, then SE-04. No chair vote is used; an unresolved tie may result in no single winner.
