Recognizing organizations that measurably reduce environmental impact and advance responsible, circular mobility.
The Sustainability & Green Mobility Award honors projects and programs that deliver verifiable gains in decarbonization, resource efficiency, and lifecycle stewardship across the automotive value chain—from materials and manufacturing to use-phase and end-of-life.
Eligible entries include OEM initiatives, supplier programs, city or corridor pilots, battery and materials circularity schemes, low-carbon logistics, and data-driven tools that enable transparent environmental accountability.
Selection Criteria
- SG-01 Measured lifecycle improvement | 30%: Verified environmental improvement against a declared, comparable baseline.
- SG-02 Circularity and material integrity | 20%: Responsible materials, traceability, repair, reuse, recovery and end-of-life performance.
- SG-03 Resource and ecosystem stewardship | 20%: Energy, water, waste, land and ecosystem impacts managed within a defined boundary.
- SG-04 Durable and transferable implementation | 15%: Governance, resourcing and credible transfer or scale beyond a one-off result.
- SG-05 Fair transition and claim integrity | 15%: Workforce and community considerations plus transparent, supportable claims.
Examples of Eligible Projects
Battery Lifecycle & Circularity
Second-life use, closed-loop recycling, transparent chain-of-custody, and reduced embodied carbon in packs/cells.
Low-Carbon Manufacturing
Renewable electricity PPA, heat electrification, zero-waste processes, and water-positive paint shops.
Green Logistics & Supply Chain
Intermodal optimization, alternative fuels, consolidated freight, and supplier decarbonization programs.
Urban & Shared Mobility Pilots
Zero-emission zones, shared fleets, charging access, and modal shift with measurable city-level outcomes.
Evaluation & Documentation
- KPIs: Baseline, target, and realized impact (tCO₂e, kWh/unit, m³ water/unit, waste diversion rate).
- Methodology: Declared accounting methods and boundary definitions; third-party review where applicable.
- Evidence Pack: Data tables, dashboards, independent attestations, and sample reports for verification.
- Continuity: Governance, resourcing, and annual improvement plan for sustained outcomes.
Eligibility & Result Period
Eligible scope: Lifecycle initiatives across materials, manufacturing, logistics, vehicle use, infrastructure, circularity and end-of-life systems.
Admission requirement: An operational pilot or deployed programme with at least one completed reporting cycle is required. Forecasts and claims alone are insufficient.
Result period: A comparable baseline and at least three months of completed results within the preceding 24 months are required, with seasonality addressed where relevant.
Timeline
Opening, closing, evidence cutoff, review, appeal and announcement dates are stated only in the approved Season Notice.
Jury & Process
Three jurors complete preliminary scoring and five complete fresh final scoring. Category tie priorities are SG-01, then SG-05. No chair vote is used; an unresolved tie may result in no single winner.
