IAF Committees Begin 2026–2027 Working Cycle

Committees of the International Automotive Federation (IAF) have begun the 2026–2027 working cycle, following coordination discussions connected with the 2nd Ordinary General Assembly.

The new cycle will support structured committee activities, technical dialogue and closer cooperation between participants from different parts of the international automotive sector.

A coordinated working period

Committees play an important role in the technical and institutional development of the federation. They provide a structured environment where specialists, organisations and sector representatives can exchange knowledge and discuss emerging automotive issues.

During the new working cycle, committee participants will continue to identify priority topics, develop working plans and support coordination across relevant federation activities.

The General Secretariat will support communication between committees and help maintain continuity across the working programme.

Main areas of committee activity
Safety and quality

Technical discussion on safety, quality principles and responsible automotive development.

Sustainability

Discussion of environmental performance, sustainable mobility and long-term sector development.

Digital systems

Consideration of digital trust, connected technologies and changing vehicle systems.

Future mobility

International dialogue on technology, mobility development and future sector needs.

Participation and knowledge exchange

The working cycle will provide committee participants with regular opportunities to exchange professional experience, technical information and different regional perspectives.

This approach is intended to support balanced discussions and help the federation better understand developments across the wider automotive and mobility ecosystem.

From discussion to structured work

Committee discussions are expected to support future technical papers, recommendations, programme development and other federation activities where appropriate.

Each committee will develop its work according to its scope, priorities and available expertise.
